Those lovely Indian Women. What a great job for them to have. I’m totally in love with chunky fun yarns this year. It seems like everyone wants to knit with perfect fingering yarns. But, I just adore how fast chunky anything knits up. It’s such a great thing to introduce to a new knitter, as well.

I really love the combination of so many colours with natural shades, definitely reminds me of what got me started on learning to spin and dye myself. Haven’t tried inclusions of non-wool yet, but maybe someday!

I really love this podcast and the creativity of the folks interviewed is very inspiring. Hearing Amy’s story in her own upbeat voice was great fun. I, too, checked out her website and some of the yarns really jumped out at me. I’m in the process of decorating the living quarters part of my horse trailer in a bohemian style and I could see her Swirl Yarn cut in strands, with beads at the end as curtains at my “kitchen” table. Will have to get me some of that yarn.

That was such an interesting story. The yarn is different than what I was imagining while I was driving, but so pretty in the photos. I think it’s great that you just up and moved to places so different than what you grew up with. My thoughts strayed to how you managed the language barriers, but I guess it wasn’t an obstacle.
Moeke yarn is a favorite. I’ve knit one of a pair of socks with it, but now I’m thinking of frogging it to use the yarn in one of the projects that should be available on the 12th.
